The Monthly Edit

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The cool, crisp air and all of the holidays to look forward to it’s all very exciting. Here at the studio, we are wrapping up 3 design projects that we have been working on for almost two years. This means it’s time for the best part…installations + photoshoots. Creativity will be flowing strong as we style, tweak and then tweak some more.

But, the big headline this month is that we are getting more and more…

Obsessed with: Warm Tones

Yes, we are going warm. White will still be an important foundation of our aesthetic but we’re warming things up this Fall. Expect to see a tone-on-tone mix of soft warm tones like camel + warmer woods.

As we grow, our aesthetic evolves as well and this is the best part. This is also exactly what our creative pause was all about. Creating that mental space we needed to travel and see with new eyes. We’ve all come back with a renewed creativity + an expanded point of view. It’s going to be exciting to see all our new ideas + mood boards materialize in our upcoming projects.

Project of the Month: Gather Project

We just installed a beautiful home that we can’t wait to launch. A unique project, this second home’s purpose is to be a place for a family, who are spread out from the West Coast to London, to come together. It’s a very special place where they can enjoy quality time on the same soil and make memories, which is why we named it our Gather Project. A place where they can ‘gather’.

Sitting in a laidback beach town, the house is just a short walk to the water. While it can be considered a beach house, it’s definitely the LTW version… modern, chic + approachable.

We custom designed endless details for this coastal residence, starting with modern beam work and extending all the way to layering walls with white oak for warmth. We’re thrilled for the whole family to finally be able to enjoy their new second home.

Here is a peek behind the scenes on installation day one.

What’s in My Closet: Fall Staples from Head to Toe

For me, Fall is all about functionality when it comes to fashion. My calendar is packed with the kids’ school and sports schedules, as well as my own work, so chic + easy pieces are the name of the game. Can you relate? If so, here are my must-haves for the season…and yes, I’m still wearing white pants and will all Winter!

Pro Tip: Linen Bedding

The Citizenry

Like white pants, linen duvet covers can stay into the Fall. At my home, I’ve swapped out my white linen duvet cover for a warm-toned soft-wrinkled one and it will stay on our bed until Winter. Layer on chunky knit pillows or cashmere throws for that easy Sunday morning look.

Tip for the Road: My Seasonal Drink Order

While pumpkin everything is delicious this time of year, my daily Fall drink is a turmeric latte. Hands down. If you’re looking for something seasonal + aromatic, skip the pumpkin for a day and give it a try. My go-to brand for making this at home is Clevr Blends.

September, you’ve been good to us. I hope you’ve all had a great start to this new season as well. We’re so grateful to have you following along and can’t wait to let you in on some new projects + ventures we have in the works.
