We were incredibly honored when This Old House + Greyrock Homes asked us to create the staging design for their 2020 IDEA Dream House. This modern farmhouse was designed by Jamieson Architects and built by the extremely talented Greyrock Homes. Packing in all the features of a luxury home such as vaulted ceilings, water views, an open chef’s kitchen, butler’s pantry, a covered porch and patio outfitted with an outdoor kitchen, plunge pool, outdoor shower, fire pit, personal putting green, spacious ground-floor master suite, a custom bunk room and three-car garage.
When designing the layout for the furnishings, we kept it very linear and symmetrical in order to create separation within the large great room while still having it feel connected. Clean lines were key as there were three sets of floor to ceiling windows for us to create alignment and allow for open and airy space between each area.
In the master bedroom we used a faux suede wallpaper to add a layer and soft texture to create a calm ambience. Thank you Sandy + Jerry of Greyrock Homes for trusting us on this one!
Our absolute favorite room to stage was the bunk room consisting of two sets of bunks (queen over queen and twin over twin) … the perfect spot for a dreamy kids sleepover.
Behind The Scenes
We worked with Greyrock Homes + This Old House for months on this project before our actual staging was installed and while we love to show the finished product, it’s always fun to share a few behind the scenes pics.
