As we begin to settle into the cooler months and look towards the holiday season, we’re taking a moment to catch our breaths and share with you what we’ve been up to this month. Halloween prep and trick or treating with the kids aside, we have been working “in the field” as we like to call it (out of the studio and on project sites) as well as onboarding new and exciting clients / projects for Spring + Summer 2023. Yep, 2023! Here’s a quick look at what October has been like at LTW…
Project of the Month: West Design Project
After a year of working with our incredible West Project client, we are excited to share that we were finally able to install everything this month…shipping delays and all! Our West Project is a modern beach house with four levels and gorgeous water views. Just a block from the sandy beach, our client didn’t want the typical or predictable beach house (nautical stripes + shells), so they brought us on board to design our version of a modern, chic + casually sophisticated beach home. With no trace of a shell and not one stripe, we installed our clean lined, calming + comfy aesthetic. See below for a look at our installation day and the heartwarming reveal (our favorite part!)
Photoshoot is upcoming, be sure to check back in a few weeks for pics of the project…
Barrow Project: Photoshoot
Speaking of photoshoots, more time “in the field” this month was spent at our Barrow Design Project. We love returning to a project a few weeks after installation. It gives us the chance to really see how our clients live in their new home, it’s extremely rewarding to see them enjoying all the details and new furnishings.
As much as we like sharing the finished project photos, we love sharing the teamwork that goes into getting that perfect shot. Often times there is a bit of chaos on one side of the room (behind the camera) and then it’s ‘magazine ready’ on the other side.
Here’s a behind the scenes look at our Barrow Project shoot.
Obsessed With: VOZ Clothing Line
I had the opportunity to support a fellow female entrepreneur / boss lady, Jasmine, who has created a beautiful brand named VOZ. Her shop is located in Soho, NYC and it’s one of my favorite places to shop. At a private shopping event, I was able to see her new line and support her and her incredible female artisans.
Voz means “voice” in Spanish, it is an ethical fashion company with the sole mission of protecting the livelihoods, well-being and cultural values of rural indigenous women globally. Voz honors artisans creatively, economically and culturally through a collaborative business model. Their clothing is made by Mapuche Artisans in Chile.
I highly recommend stopping by next time you’re in Soho.
We also want to thank the new RH Guesthouse in Chelsea, NY. Around the corner from their flagship NYC gallery opened what I believe is the very first guesthouse in the world. With a rooftop pool, Champagne + Caviar Bar and six exclusive suites to stay in, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Thanks for catching up with us! Enjoy this beautiful Fall weather and we’ll see you next month…
